We are seeking a talented and highly motivated Supply Analyst with specialized knowledge in pricing Commercial and Industrial (C&I) retail electric power contracts to join our dynamic team at Gridmatic. This is a contract position (20 hours a week) with possibility of contract-to-hire, offering the flexibility of remote work. As a Supply Analyst specializing in C&I contracts, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely pricing for our C&I energy deals. Leveraging your expertise in pricing C&I contracts and Ops experience, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, utilize pricing models, and provide market insights to support our sales efforts. In this role, having operations experience is a nice-to-have, in addition to your expertise in C&I contract pricing. Responsibilities

    • C&I Contract Pricing: Utilize your specialized knowledge of Commercial and Industrial (C&I) contracts to ensure accurate and timely pricing for these contracts according to established Sales priorities.
    • Proposal Setup: Manage the proposal setup process among the team to ensure accurate volumes (usage, capacity release, and firm obligations) are uploaded into the pricing models for developing forward contract quantities for C&I customers.
    • Market-Based Pricing: Work closely with various teams to reflect correct market-based price curves in the pricing models for C&I contracts.
    • Cross-Departmental Coordination: Coordinate and maintain effective communication with different departments such as Sales, IT, Legal, Billing, and Energy Solutions to ensure C&I customer needs are met, including performing ad-hoc analysis and problem-solving.
    • Sales Support: Provide training and market insights specific to C&I contracts to the sales team on an as-needed basis to enhance their understanding of pricing dynamics for this customer segment.
    • Technical Development: Develop technical capabilities as required to facilitate the enhancement of the pricing process for C&I contracts.
    • Complex C&I Pricing Requests: Facilitate pricing of large and/or complex pricing requests for C&I contracts, working directly with our sales team.
    • Analytical Insight: Apply a strong analytical skillset and commercial insight, specifically in the context of C&I contracts, to understand the commercial impact of pricing decisions. Ensure due diligence and provide a sound rationale for decision-making that impacts risk and profitability.
    • Ops Experience: Leverage your Ops experience as a nice-to-have skill to enhance pricing strategies and insights for C&I contracts.
    • Ad Hoc Duties: Perform other duties as assigned to contribute to the success of the Pricing team and Gridmatic as a whole.

You might be a good fit if you:

    • Minimum 2 years of commercial work experience in the power markets in the U.S. is required with a proven history of executing successful transactions or supporting major transactions.
    • Knowledge of power and environmental products markets. Understanding of relevant RTO’s or bi-lateral market concepts. Knowledge of ERCOT and CAISO markets is a plus. 
    • Must be self-motivated and capable of setting and executing strategy to accomplish goals. Proven experience in developing client relationships. 
    • Experience working to and exceeding targets. 
    • Some travel required to interface with customers. 
    • Legal authorization to work in the US.
$47 - $74 an hour
