ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking to hire a Senior Data Engineer with a strong foundation in Django/Python, DevOps, and a passion for the health-tech industry. This individual will be integral in advancing our data-driven healthcare solutions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Engage in close collaboration with our data science team for effective data collection, processing, and management from various sources.
    • Construct and maintain robust data pipelines, focusing heavily on automation and optimization with tools like Apache Airflow.
    • Utilize Django and Python skills for backend development, ensuring efficient data processing and system integrity.
    • Facilitate seamless integration of data workflows and architectures, with a special emphasis on efficient data handling and pipeline automation.
    • Work alongside backend programmers to ensure cohesive and efficient system development and maintenance.
    • Regularly update and apply the latest data engineering and DevOps methodologies to enhance system performance.
    • Adhere to strict data privacy and security standards, compliant with healthcare industry regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS

    • ​​Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
    • Minimum 5 years of experience in Data Engineering, preferably within the healthcare sector.
    • Expertise in Python and extensive experience with Django for backend development.
    • Strong experience with workflow management tools like Apache Airflow.
    • Proven experience in cloud platform management and deployment, with a strong focus on DevOps practices.
    • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with data scientists and backend programmers.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and proactive work approach.
    • Outstanding communication and teamwork abilities.

BONUS SKILLS

    • Prior experience in healthcare or nutrition domains, especially with healthcare programs or digital health platforms.
    • Familiarity with GraphQL, dbt, and other data management tools.
$1 - $1 a year
Salary (will post range asap in the new year!) will be based upon location/region (1-4) and experience.
