The Role:
Outrider is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Payroll & Benefits Specialist to join our team. As the owner of payroll and benefits, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and managing our total rewards programs. A successful candidate will have a deep understanding of compensation strategies, benefits administration, and payroll processes. This is a fast-paced and high-growth opportunity that offers the chance to contribute to the success of a pioneering autonomous driving startup.

Responsibilities

    • Manage all aspects of the payroll process, including accurate and timely processing of employee salaries, bonuses, commissions, and other compensation-related items. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations pertaining to compensation, benefits, and payroll.
    • Administer and manage the organization's leave of absence programs, ensuring compliance with regulations, processing employee requests, and facilitating a smooth return to work.
    • Serve as the central contact for worker's compensation claims, overseeing timely reporting, documentation, and communication to efficiently manage claims and facilitate employees' return to work.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as HR, Finance, and Legal, to implement and maintain compensation and benefits policies and programs.
    • Provide guidance and support to managers and employees regarding compensation and benefits-related matters.
    • Conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure data accuracy and integrity within HR systems.
    • Manage all HR systems to create efficiencies, and consistency between databases. Act as the liaison between Legal, outside immigration lawyers and the Company’s employees to ensure timely submission of all applicable immigration paperwork and ensure Company compliance with all immigration and VISA requirements.
    • Assist with the design and administration of employee recognition and incentive programs.
    • Stay updated on emerging trends and best practices in compensation, benefits, and payroll administration.

Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
    • Proven experience as a Payroll & Benefits Specialist or in a similar role.
    • In-depth knowledge of payroll processes.
    • Familiarity with relevant laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
    • Strong analytical skills and the ability to conduct market research and analysis.
    • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism and discretion
    • Proficient in HRIS and payroll systems.

Compensation & Benefits

    • Salary range of $60,000 - $70,000

In addition to a base salary, this role is also eligible for benefits, and equity bonus
