Company

In order to keep climate change to 1.5°C, we’ll need 30% of global GDP (all of the energy generation and transportation) to run on batteries by 2035.

Zitara Technologies (YCombinator S20) builds predictive battery management software for transportation and energy customers with large deployments. Our customers operate >$100M deployments of batteries in satellites, EVs, and renewable energy storage installations.

Our team brings top researchers in physics-based battery algorithms together with seasoned software engineers to build safety-critical firmware and large-scale machine learning systems. We bring with us decades of experience from companies like Tesla, Facebook, and Google.

Role

Zitara operates at the intersection of energy storage and application. Our software delivers the high-performance models necessary for our customers to operate their battery systems safely and profitably. We are looking for an experienced finance manager that can partner with Zitara leadership to develop and implement our financial strategy and controls.

  • Partner with executive leadership to develop and execute the company's financial strategy, aligning financial goals with overall business objectives.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes (including the IRA), and emerging financial best practices to drive continuous improvement in financial operations.
  • Participate in future financing, leveraging experience with venture capital and other investors to fund Zitara’s growth.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field. MBA or relevant certifications such as CPA or CFA are preferred
