As a Machine Learning Development Operations (ML DevOps) Engineer, you will collaborate with the CTO and Engineering team to expand the scope and capabilities of our machine learning production infrastructure. Our engineers have a wide range of experience in robotics, space, and autonomous driving, but AgTech is a young field that requires new ideas. You will help us invent and build the toolkit of ML development that will best serve our research, development, and operations.
Our office is located in Hayward, CA about 25-30 mins average commute from most places in the Bay Area. We offer competitive pay and a great team environment.
What You Will Do
- Design data pipelines and engineering infrastructure
- Improve the performance, maintainability, and reliability of our systems
- Apply software engineering best practices to machine learning, including CI/CD, automation, etc.
- Support model and data audibility, versioning, and security
- Facilitate the development and deployment of proof-of-concept machine learning systems
- Communicate across multiple teams to build requirements and track progress
- Continuously manage risk
- Use lean software development techniques
- Translate business needs into technical requirements
Your Experience Will Likely Include
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Robotics, or any related engineering field
- Building end-to-end systems as a Platform Engineer, Machine Learning Operations (ML Ops) Engineer, Development Operations (DevOps) Engineer, Data Engineer, or equivalent
- Linux operating system (desktop, server, or embedded)
- Development tools, including Git, GitLab/GitHub, JIRA, Jenkins, Docker, etc
- Scripting languages (e.g., bash, python)
- Configuration management, infrastructure as code, continuous integration and delivery, deployment pipelines, automated testing, and release management
- Strong understanding of software testing, benchmarking, and continuous integration
- Exposure to machine learning methodology and best practices
- Desire to further robotic technology in an environmentally friendly way
$70,000 - $200,000 a year
