The problem: Every minute matters in fire response.  As climate change amplifies the intensity of wildfires—with longer fire seasons, dryer fuels, and faster winds—new ignitions spread faster and put more communities at risk. Today, most wildfires are detected by bystanders and reported via 911, meaning it can take hours to detect a fire, verify its exact location and size, and dispatch first responders. Fire authorities need a faster way to detect, confirm, and pinpoint fires so that they can quickly respond—preventing small flare-ups from becoming devastating infernos.

The Role

As a Global Supply Manager reporting to the Director of Supply Chain, you will be responsible for sourcing for Pano AI’s products and Supply Chain partners. The Global Sourcing Manager is instrumental in driving supplier selection, managing key vendor relationships, negotiating strategic deals, supply continuity and risk mitigation, supplier evaluation, selection, and performance. This role requires close collaboration with various members of the Engineering, Operations, Finance, and Supply Chain Teams.

Responsibilities

    • Sourcing and qualification of suppliers for all Pano AI components and device materials
    • Negotiate and establish vendor contracts such as Master Supply Agreements. This includes negotiating favorable terms and pricing
    • Manage cost targets, lead time and materials availability, supply risk evaluation, and mitigation.
    • Manage overall supplier relationships, including supplier performance, capability development, cost, and quality improvements, to create a win-win situation
    • Interface with cross-functional teams to assess current and future manufacturing service requirements
    • Develop cost models for devices and equipment to track current spending and future opportunities for cost reduction
    • Ensure that Pano AI  is compliant with all applicable export and import regulations
    • Monitor current supply chain conditions to identify challenges and develop a continuity plan
    • Advise management on global supply chain challenges, risks, and pricing trends that could impact business
    • Lead the “Buy American” compliance program

Qualifications

    • 3-5 years of strategic sourcing experience
    • 6+ years of total professional experience in business, manufacturing, or technology roles
    • Experience with contracts and contract management
    • EMS management experience, project management skills, and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
    • Strong communication and negotiation skills
    • Knowledge of outsourced manufacturing service models
    • Ability to travel up to 10%
    • BA degree or BS degree from an accredited college or university
    • Start-up experience or similar fast-paced and dynamic environment
    • Experience selecting and managing vendors for complex custom sub-assemblies, contract manufacturing relationships, or other high-complexity strategic partnership relationships
$127,000 - $159,000 a year
Final salary offered is based upon multiple factors, including individual job-related qualifications, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and location. In addition to salary, this position is also eligible for stock options.
